Bill Rittman
His broadcasting career of over 55 years began at radio stations in North and South Dakota in 1952 where he started as an announcer. He began his Wisconsin broadcasting career in 1955 at WKBT-TV, La Crosse, where served as a news and sports anchor until 1965. Then followed a six year run in Minneapolis, first on-the-air with WWTC radio and then in sales at WDGY radio. He returned to La Crosse in 1971 as General Sales Manager for the newly acquired Midwest Family radio stations. In 1986, he became President & General Manager at the Midwest Family cluster of radio stations in the Fox Valley, headquartered in Oshkosh. When those stations were divested in 1997, he moved to Midwest Family’s radio stations in Madison where he served as Sales Manager and Manager of Special Projects. He has served as President of the La Crosse Ad Federation, Rotary Clubs in La Crosse and Oshkosh and in 1987 was President of the Fox Valley Radio Broadcasters Association.
