Glen Loyd
The ultimate consumer advocate, he began his 20 year broadcast career at WLUK-TV in Green Bay in 1971. In 1975 he moved to the Dallas market before returning to Green Bay and WLUK-TV and WFRV-TV for another eleven years. Variously known as “Action Man”, “Troubleshooter” and your “On Your Side” reporter, he was honored in his career by Associated Press and United Press International and in 1980 received the prestigious Alfred I. du Pont-Columbia University Award for “meritorious performance of public service.” He helped clean up the air in the Green Bay area in the early 1970’s by personally suing six industrial polluters, and in 1995, he was portrayed in a CBS television movie helping the family of a murder victim bring the killer to justice. After leaving broadcasting, he continued his consumer advocacy, serving as a Consumer Protection Officer for the State of Wisconsin and appearing monthly on nearly twenty Wisconsin radio and television stations with consumer protection messages to assist citizens of Wisconsin.
I am hoping to connect with Glen. I am a lifelong resident of Green Bay Wisconsin where Glen was a TV personality of great credibility.
Glen if you are able and have a few moments would you email me?
Thank you so much,
