Jack hitred me to gather Stevens Point news for broadcast by Bob Daniels, the top sports announcer, from a branch studio in Point. That start led me to career in radio and television law in Washington DC and service as a federal administrative law judge. Ernie Strope would bail me out when I messed up the feed from Point to Rapids. Bob would provide the beer and laughs. I recall Jack’s wife offered a jumpsuit for sale on the “Trading Post.” We laughed about that item for months, reinserting it in the For Sale items over and over.
