Jack Krueger

kruegerJournalism was the cornerstone of his 44 year career that began in 1935 as a copy boy, later working for the Milwaukee Journal. He moved to broadcast journalism in 1938 as news editor at Journal’s radio station, WTMJ-AM. Over the next 41 years, Krueger developed and managed WTMJ radio and later its television news and public affairs operations. He retired as Manager of Public Affairs in January, 1980. Krueger helped organize the forerunner of the national Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) in 1946 and later served as its President and Board Chair. In 1981, Krueger was inducted in the Milwaukee Media Hall of Fame by the Milwaukee Press Club.

Jack Krueger passed away on September 16, 2000.
