2006 General Election for Governor – Doyle & Green
Incumbent Wisconsin governor Jim Doyle, a Democrat, faced Republican Congressman Mark Green in this often contentious debate. The two met on October 6, 2006, at the new Discovery World museum in Milwaukee. At the time, Green had chipped away at Doyle’s double-digit lead in the polls until the race was, by most accounts, too close to call.
