2010 U.S. Senate General Election – Feingold & Johnson

Over 1,000,000 Wisconsinites watched or listened to this debate on Oct. 8, just 3 1/2 weeks before the General Election as Fox Valley businessman Ron Johnson sought to unseat incumbent Sen. Russ Feingold, seeking a 4th term in the U.S. Senate. Johnson had been cutting into what was once thought to be an insurmountable Feingold lead in the polls and the debate promised to be a lively one. They sparred over such issues as the national economy and the ballooning federal deficit, social security, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and dairy policy. The debate was produced live at the studios of WMVS-TV, on the campus of the Milwaukee Area Technical College.
