Bob Barry’s Unearthed Interviews Podcast: Barney Pip and New Colony Six

If you listened to WOKY in the 1960s, you’ll remember disc jockey Barney Pip. He blew on his trumpet, yelled peanut butter forever, and had a strange creative mind. At that same time you heard the New Colony Six on WOKY. They were a popular singing group from Chicago. How do Barney Pip and the New Colony Six tie together in this podcast? I talked with Ray Graffia from the Six and he gave me a review of an audio recording that Barney made. I’ll play a sample. Ray also told me how the New Colony Six got their start.
