WBA Hall of Famer Bob Barry ruled Milwaukee's airwaves in the '60s and '70s. He interviewed the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, James Brown, Dolly Parton, Sophia Loren, Gregory Peck, Dick Clark, Cher and many more. The Turtles have appeared in Wisconsin many times including their favorite venue, Summerfest. Mark Vollman says they turned down a song that became a hit but with “Happy Days” there was a better outcome. Also interesting how the British affected their group name.
